TAP Ltd was established in 1979; it began trading with the sole purpose of supplying agricultural spare parts and consumables to the farming industry, and over the years, has built a reputable business providing an array of specialist and stock items.
In November 1979, a dealership with Kärcher UK was secured, which we are very proud of, and have now gained recognition of being the only Kärcher centre with two outlets in Scotland selling a diverse range of Kärcher cleaning equipment worldwide. It was soon realised that this product was very high quality and valuable for money. The business has gone from strength to strength over the years, providing an upstanding approach to the industry, coupled with the advantage of our product knowledge and excellent customer service.
In the summer of 1980, the company expanded and diversified into the haulage, garage, fishing and oil and gas industries with more success. Further staff was employed at Turriff to service and repair the steady expansion of equipment, including garage and workshop tools. Later that year, two more sales staff were added to the workforce, in a designated salesperson was appointed to deal with the cleaning equipment, which coincided with the launch of Aberdeen Pressure Washer Centre as part of a non-agricultural marketing tool to increase business in the commercial and industrial sector.
In 1991, a new division was launched as a private water supply, comprising drilling, pumping and water treatment, which continues to expand with changing perimeters and water regulations.
Through a growing client base over the years, TAP Ltd has expanded, and it was in May 2005 that we opened our branch at the Thainstone Centre, Inverurie, which has also proved to be very successful, continuing to provide innovative solutions to our customer’s requirements. During that year, Aberdeen Pressure Washer Centre was awarded a premier Kärcher dealer – one of only three appointed in Scotland to serve the North East of Scotland, Grampian, Highlands and Islands with cleaning equipment.
In November 2010, we were delighted to have been appointed an official Karcher Store at our Thainstone Branch, Inverurie, which is the ONLY Karcher store in the North of Scotland stocked with a wide range of domestic and commercial machines, spare parts, accessories and cleaning agents. The staff at the Karcher Store are experienced in all product groups and applications by undergoing thorough training at the Karcher Academy, Banbury.
Today, our philosophy is to provide the best customer backup in service and spares. This is supported by supplying many leading brands of agricultural spares & equipment, Kärcher cleaning equipment to include water recycling systems, garage & workshop equipment, and consumable items.
TAP Ltd continues expanding to serve the working community and carry over 12,000 product lines.
